Yatra Overview

India is a big subject, with a diversity of cultures of unfathomable depth and a long continuum of history. India provides a continuum with endless opportunities to collect a bunch of experiences and memories that will otherwise last a lifetime. Ever since ancient times, the Chardham Yatra has been regarded as one of the most wanted and looked-for expeditions throughout India. The Indian Garhwal Himalayas-Dev- Bhoomi, or "Abode of the Gods"-represents the exact source of the Ganges.

The Ganges starts as a little stream in Gangotri after the beautiful glacier then travels the whole length of India which she nourishes and sustains with one continuum of the world's most ancient Hindu Culture. The Char Dham is embedded deep in these high valleys of the Indian Himalayas, where lie 4 of the most sacred pilgrimage spots in Hinduism. Heaven graced hiding behind, India is a land full of Indian diversity and a million people with an endless storehouse of culture and tradition amidst all the development of the 21st century!

Kedarnath: One of the pilgrimage temples meant for the Shiv-Lok on Earth (Prithvi), this Jyotirlinga is considered supreme among the 12 respected Jyotirlingam shrines across India.

Yamunotri: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur constructed this temple in the 19th century. It has suffered two destructions in this century and has been rebuilt again. The Lord Vishwanath temple on the banks of the Bhagirathi river is where an iron trident towers.

Gangotri: Gangotri is a place in the Garhwal Himalayas where the Holy Ganga originates. Situated about 100m below the confluence, a waterfall, Sahasrama, plunges into a mass of boulders, although it is slight in size.

Badrinath: Badarinath is one of the holy shrines for Vaishnavites among the 108 divya desams incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Badrinath town is also part of Panch Badri temples including Yog Dhyan Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Adi Badri, and Vriddha Badri, along with Badrinath temple.
